I promised to share...

What a serendipitous day of shooting Elena & I enjoyed, a week or so ago...just before the heatwave set in.

We shot Watch Hill & Wilcox Park.  We laughed at the consignment store price tag, still dangling down the back of Elena's white and billowy dress, as she floated atop the granite stones. We soaked up the sunny spots between the powder puff clouds that made their way across the big blue sky.

When I am shooting, time stands still; another world unfolds and pulls me in.  Such was this day, spent mostly quietly, as Elena found her way up, over, and around the unfamiliar terrain;  an explorer in a new and foreign land.

The rocks went from light and brushed with sand, to dark with deep green seaweed clutching. The sky embodied lightness and frivolity, and then a sudden harshness, depth, and sense of urgency.

I love to let the day take us where it wishes;  to turn, pause, run and soar with the ebb and flow of letting all expectations go...the sheer miracle of watching it all unfold before us.

Showing up is what matters, opening up to the creative powers that may lie sleeping.

I am ever so grateful for the bountiful gifts of the day we spent in the arms of being present.  Thank you, Elena for your willingness to step into this other-world with me.

More to come...

Namaste.
